He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. Thank you for a great dog! Looking forward to the next one!
Hi Tricia, Thank you for all the support and reassurance you so willingly offered that I could have two females that live together and get along. You know I was so worried about that. Kali accepted Roxie from the day I brought her home. They are so funny together. You were right when you told me that I would have as strong a bond with Roxie as I do with Kali, but it would be different and it is, just as you said. Thanks again for everything!
Hi Tricia - Thanks again for raising such an AWESOME little puppy. Your homework, hard work & love really shows through when I look at him! I don't know what made us look in the Ashville newspaper, but I am so thankful that we did so that we could find you. We talked all the way home about what a wonderful experience it has been so far & how worth the drive it was to get our perfect little pup. He is truly an extension of our family. Many Thanks, When my husband first laid eyes on our puppy the puppy was playing with four adult German shepherds. From across the room my hsuband gave a discreet signal with his index finger. Our puppy ran into his arms. It was love at first sight for all three of us. You see, we always let the puppy choose us. We were quite flattered. Rarely in life is one fortunate enough to have the 'Dream Dog'. The 'Dream Dog' would rather look at you than anything else and he looks you in the eye. From the time he is a puppy you see the devotion in those big brown eyes and he sees the respect in yours. The 'Dream Dog' is beautiful and the best of his breed. At your first trip to the veterinarian they compliment his perfectly formed front feet. The feet are straight, not outward, not inwards. They tell you that you are lucky he does not have that tell tale overly sloped back. The doctor adds he has beautiful markings. The 'Dream Dog' gives a couple of warning barks when a stranger approaches and he remains calm with your one word of assurance. You swell up with pride when people admire him. Yet he is only 10 weeks old. Every chance you get you pick him up, hold him to your chest and he lays that big long nose into your neck. You know the day will come when you can no longer lift him. Cosmo is our 'Dream Dog' and we are devoted to him. He is smart beyond his age. He trusts us. That is a huge compliment. You have to see his daddy, WOW!!! Trish, thank you for trusting us with Cosmo. How lucky we are to know a breeder who has two priorities: 1) Love them the best you can, and 2) A goal to better the breed through high standards. Thanks for all your help including advice, your patience, and even now that Cosmo is over seven months of age, you still love him. Thanks for choosing his parents Jara and Paul, beautiful German stock. You are aware I have breast cancer at this time. Cosmo is my constant companion. He gives me a lot of love. Fortunately I will live a lot of years and Cosmo and I will spend them together. If anyone would like to view Cosmo, call ahead of time. We love to show him off. I have stories about how he has helped other dogs with shyness problems. Our number is (864) 445-9099. Thanks you all for taking the time to read this. Trish is honest, sincere and a respected breeder. Sincerely yours,
Many Thanks, Dear Tricia, Since the day we first visited the little pups in your home we knew right then and there that we had found exactly what we were looking for. Both of us could not believe the attention and love that you gave the little puppies and were so impressed that you even slept next to them at night as to care for all of their needs. All that love and care you gave the puppies has shown through each day that we have had Conan and he is the most loving, intelligent and playful dog we have ever had. Being a young couple we were mostly concerned about how a German Shepherd would act around kids, both in the neighborhood and in our future plans. Well, that worry wouldn’t last long!! We have several young children in our neighborhood, including a young boy named Wes next door, and they all come knocking on the door first thing we arrive home in the afternoons: “Hey, can Conan come out to play with us?!” We love him so much and it is hard for us to even remember not having his floppy ears in our lives! Thanks so much for everything. Sincerely,
Tricia’s flexible schedule allowed us to have training sessions at times when our entire family could participate in training our dog. This not only made it fun for our family but also helped to teach our dog to respect the voice of each family member and not just the “trainer.” What is especially nice is that Tricia is always eager to help us in the event we have a question or concern regarding the behavior or well fare of our pet. We highly recommend Tricia and her team at 1st Choice Training. John and Julie Stephens Where do we begin? Our 4-year old Weimaraner has been a handful from day one...much like all Weims can be. We have had her since she was a puppy, so we can only assume that all the bad habits she had taken-on were a result of our parenting. Well, earlier this year we found out that we are expecting a little girl on November 16, 2005. In a panic, our first thoughts were "what are we going to do about Breighton?" Breighton is a very lovable dog who has a tendency to show her love in very physical ways...something a baby could not handle. We had seen 1st Choice Training and Treats advertised in the Clipper magazine, so we thought we would start there. After talking to Tricia, we knew this was the only company that could handle our 80 lb. child. One of the best aspects of 1st Choice is that they come to you! We don't know how many people we talk to who say, the dog performed well at the trainers but was unable to continue the obedience at home. With the home visits, we could ask the trainers to cover Breighton's trouble spots in the house, walk her in our neighborhood, and allow Breighton to feel less anxiety-ridden by being in her own environment; to note, Weimaraner's are naturally high anxiety dogs. Breighton has now completed her training and received her certificate. Previously skeptical friends and family are just astonished by Breighton's improvements. A frequent question asked of us is, "Did you guys place her on tranquilizers?" Of course with any training, we must make sure we stay consistent with Breighton in order for her training to be effective. Tricia and Sharon are two people who love what they do. They immediately fell in love with Breighton and began praising all of her great qualities. We felt like proud parents. And we couldn't be more proud of Breighton; and Breighton couldn't be more proud of herself. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? We beg to differ! Kyle and Jaime Browning 1st Choice trained my 8 mo old German shepherd and my 8 mo old Doberman on basic obedience training. Long gone are the days when they threw me back and forth across the street as we would walk. Now I walk them---they don't walk me! My German shepherd developed a problem months after we finished training. He is now 13 months old. He is taller than me at 90 lbs. When I first walk into the house, he runs and jumps up on me to greet me. After he nearly knocked me down and into the TV set, I called Tricia. We discussed the way to handle it. She wanted to come over and work with me and my dog on this, but I told her I'd implement her ideas first and if we still had the problem, I'd have her come over. Well, he figured it out immediately, and we no longer have this problem. So, bottom line, she is my forever trainer. She is there way past the graduation day! Todd L We contacted Tricia about 2 weeks ago after rescuing a one year old lab/border collie mix. We have no idea what his back ground is, but can tell you he had no training. We wanted to give "Sam" a wonderful life, so we did a lot of research to find the best training we could give him. We have a background of showing dogs, but years removed. Tricia came to our home to begin training. We were very impressed on our first visit. The next time she came was to begin training Sam, and WOW! Just in a very short time he was responding and we were too. However, I must share that Sam has been to the vet once before and was not a bad experience but could have been better. Yesterday, after less than 24 hours after his 1st session, he went to the vet and I had a different dog!!!! He was focused on me and had a great experience. I have no doubt that it was his training and my new training. Thanks to Tricia and her methods Sam is enjoying himself more and we are enjoying Sam more. We feel very blessed to have the opportunity to have Tricia. She has been there for us to answer questions any time we have needed. Her concern is for us and Sam. This is the best ever.
